Dimensions do not match what most other reviewers say

After reading reviews of 3 pieces I ordered anyway and decided on two sons thinking I had cracked the code. I wish I had. All reviews (in my opinion) indicate their child's weight and height, blah blah. I'll tell you this, and this is a simple sizing suggestion: Take your child's age. Clear? Multiply it by 2 (yes, 2) and order that size from the size chart. If your child is very small for their age, maybe 1.5 times, but no less. So now I'm going to go into detail about my kids - I've ordered both boys for a 2 year old and a 5 year old in a short sleeve style. My 5 year old just got rid of his 5T last month so I bought XL (7/8). He was wearing a sausage casing and could not move. I'm not joking. 7/8 corresponds to 4T. My 2 year old - I ordered medium and it was tight on all sides but it is very thin. So I would say the average size is the typical 24 month baby size but the length is like a regular 2T. I feel the plus size would be too long for him so I'm not ordering another. If you have a 2 year old, make sure he can carry another 24 months. If you have a 3-4 year old, order a large one. Child 4-5 years - order size XL. For a 5 year old who doesn't have 5T clothing, order XXL (I haven't seen XXL but I know XL is an unacceptable situation). The length maybe not a problem after washing, maybe it can shrink and adjust to sizes? I don't know because we left the labels and sent them back. hopefully someone who has washed this will leave a review if there is any shrinkage along the length. The quality of the costume is excellent, it is very well made. Honestly I think that in a hot summer (thick) it would be too hot on the beach. I give 5 stars for the high quality. They just need to revise their size chart or say "fit or loose" and make suggestions about it. I'm a realist and I knew this suit would fit, but there's a difference between a fit and being tight and not being able to move. Do not rely on the weights in the table, they are incorrect. Also, ignore the measurements for everything else. Do what I suggested and you'll be closer to where you need to be.
