This is the plug you need for Italy. Ignore the bilaterals who say they will work in Italy. Italy requires a 3 pin type and only older locations will work with 2 pin. It's too risky to have maybe 20% of the points of sale in Italy; Buy this and it works everywhere. It has 2 outlets and I used both of them probably every other day on a 10 day 5 hotel trip. A little tip for iPhone and Android users: check the tiny writing on your adapter. It usually says 110-220v or 120-240v which means you can plug your charger in here so you don't need anything else. No converter. Another tip: TVs sometimes have a USB port on the back so you can charge your phone through a hotel TV if you need it for a 240v international hair dryer.
