You get what you pay for.

I bought two of these kits five years ago for an amp and subwoofer install. How has the kit held up?Not good. The RCA plugs at the subwoofer end are falling apart--the center conductors had come loose, and I had to solder in replacements. This is for removing them maybe once or twice a year. I only hate to think how the other end, behind the dashboard, will degrade over time. Also, the fuse holder is one of the worst types available--I had mine corrode inside, despite being sealed off with the given gaskets on either side, and it took me a while to track down an issue of the amp and subwoofer not being powered. Who would ever have suspected a faulty fuse holder? Apparently when I posted this issue on an audio/electronics forum, I was told that these types of fuse holders typically fail. I replaced it with a much better fuse holder that uses proper blade fuses, not outdated AGC fuses.

Pros
  • Reduces noise interference for a cleaner sound
Cons
  • May not improve sound quality in all types of vehicles
