Big improvement on my review.
The vents were easy to install, except that the outside o-ring wanted to roll and spin out from under the cupped washer while being tightened. So I lubed it up with petroleum jelly and held the cupped washer in place with needle nose pliers while tightening down the nut. Then it went together smoothly.

These things are awesome. I have a couple of five-gallon gas containers that the original cheaply made venting nozzles broke. Got a regular nozzle for a couple of bucks and these vents. Easy to install. Everything you need is in the kit. All you need is a drill.
