I had to replace the grips which were corroded and difficult to turn. So this worked for me, but if you need to replace the faucet yourself directly, this won't work without some extra work as the unit supplied has no handle to raise and lower the sink lid which prevents the water from draining. This one can still be used in a sink as it comes with a different type of drain where you push the plug to close and again to open. Therefore, you must remove the old stop assembly and install a new one. This should work fine if it's a brand new install.
