This tool was an absolute nightmare. I spend many hours tweaking and resetting it to get reproducible results but haven't been able to get any. The instructions are terrible and the dial gauge extensions weren't easy. If your gear isn't square with a machined bearing cap, good luck with the tool disc to get repeatable measurements across the top of the gear. For me and my application (Ford 8.8) it was useless.
