I bought this filter system for my 98 gmc sle 1500. The filter was well packaged and took about 2 hours to install. It's easy to install, follow the step-by-step guide and you'll be fine. The next day, I loaded a four-wheeler truck into the back of a truck and drove down the freeway at 80 miles per hour. I noticed an immediate increase in performance. The truck moved up and down the tiered hills. Amazing power boost. The engine is much louder at high revs. The only thing that worries me is this. The actual air filter element for my truck does not look like the picture on the internet at all. The default imy filter is larger than the k&n filter. Which bothered me at first. After noticing the increase in performance, I became concerned. Another issue with the air filter is that there is no hole to insert the air temperature sensor. So I had to drill my own hole in the air cleaner element and seal it after installation. Everything else is perfect. I would recommend it to anyone who has an older truck and is looking for a performance upgrade.
