Gauges and vacuum pump worked well. However, when I connected the R143a refrigerant bottle, the bottle piercing adapter did not fit the refrigerant bottle. The thread on the adapter is too big. Another disappointment I have is that the kit included enough oil to fill the vacuum pump to its minimum capacity. The instructions tell you to prime the vacuum pump until it reaches the high level mark on the sight glass. This leads to premature pump failure due to insufficient oil in the reservoir. I am unhappy that this kit is incomplete. Had I known I would need to purchase additional fittings to install a ready made refrigerant bottle, as well as an additional bottle of oil to properly fill the vacuum pump, I would not have purchased this kit.
