These pads are actually very good and of good quality. I'm a qualified auto mechanic and while I wouldn't touch every car with them, they fit in and work very well! Especially the microfiber mat. The only last I had a problem with was the green last, but I attribute most of the problem to the Meguiars compound. It's incredibly foggy and the second step was absolutely necessary. However, the green space didn't make it with the Sonax CutMax. The microfiber does NOT pill as expected and has a moderate cut that finishes very well. The upholstery backing is good quality and will last multiple washes (I hand wash, not machine wash, machine cuts the life of ALL upholstery by half), the upholstery will last several cars with proper use. For example, have several gaskets of each quality and change every few plates. For example, if you only use one cutting pad, one polishing pad and one finishing pad. Regardless of the brand, you will either destroy them on this machine or the second time you use them. Always clean the gaskets between the plates and rotate them! The quality of these pads isn't as high as the best of the best but they are definitely worth buying, they last for multiple cars and for the price you can easily get 4 sets for the same price as 4 separate ones. Pads from well-known brands. Eventually, you will actually get more out of them. I can get 6-10 cars from branded pads. I got 6 cars with these pads. So it's about the same and I saved a bunch of bucks! I was frustrated when I first got them, the brush caught between the yellow cutting pad and the other pad, denting and bending the pad.
