Easiest Way to Reduce Water Hardness
Hard water build up was reduced by having our plumber install a valve for these filters on our stove. I believe it also contributed to the performance of our new dishwasher, hard water destroyed our old dishwasher after years of use without these filters. In a house of six I change them about every 4 months which may be too early but I wish our water was softer. We also have a septic system, salt in water softeners destroys septic systems so these filters are a useful alternative.
