I installed this byte thermostat in my solar project which I am building to control the cooling fan behind my solar controller. Knowing this control board would be in my shed where it could get hot, I knew I needed a fan to blow cooler air onto the Prostar 30, which is the heart of my system. I programmed my thermostat to turn the fan on at 78 degrees when the temperature rises and turn it off when the temperature drops below 78 degrees. This device looks well built and easy to program. Two improvements I would recommend the manufacturer; (1) Decrease the depth, even if it means making it wider. It's currently about 3 inches deep, making it difficult to use on my board. (2) Make the bezel around the thermostat slightly wider. The dimensional tolerance between the front and the body of the device is so small that it is difficult to cut a mounting hole. Even with these minor issues I would buy it again if I couldn't find the same item with less depth. Requirement. Recommend.
