Good compact fan controller.

this is great for two 5 inch computer fans I have a cooling battery and inverter bay in my RV. It will turn on immediately at the set temperature and will not run the tgd fans at high power which may burn out the fans, enough power for the fans to provide decent airflow. and doesn't use as much power as some of the more advanced ones. It's also very small, which helps to not add any extra weight or bulk. It's very easy to set the temperature at which you want the base-level Grest fan controller

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • disappears

Accurate, easy to program, great price

I am using this unit to control two 12v fans in the outside cooling compartment of my RV. Unlike some reviewers, I found the instructions easy to follow and the device easy to set up. While the exact temperature isn't critical to me, I was able to calibrate it with a lab thermometer and found that it stayed within 1 degree Fahrenheit of the ideal 60-90 degree limit of my test. Surprising considering the price. I also found it very easy to assemble and wire. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Very happy with testing, measuring and verifying

I built a standalone solar hot tub and used two of these to turn a 12 volt water pump on at 120 degrees and off at 104 degrees to add water heat. It freezes here a couple of times a year and the manifolds are PVC so I used a second controller to turn the pump on at 35 degrees and off at 50 degrees to keep the panels from freezing. Both worked great. I was concerned about the way the manifold temp sensors were installed so I contacted the company. They were VERY helpful and sent an extra sensor…

Good value for money

I was looking for a temperature controller for my project and this one was perfect. I have several water lines in an unheated area that can get below freezing in the winter and need protection. It's a lot cheaper than replacing burst pipes! Access at this time of year is impractical and the control units must be installed remotely. In combination with other components, they worked perfectly. The only thing I would like is a sound signal and not just a flashing display. Overall I am very happy…

Perfect for my need to control a portable fridge

I have one of the older Engel MT45 fridge freezers which only has a knob to control the temperature. Thus, when the ambient temperature increases, the temperature of the refrigerator increases. So I wanted to convert it to a digit. I designed and 3D printed an enclosure for a thermostat and a LM2596S (dual voltage fridge) and wired it to the side of the fridge. Setup was pretty easy. I set the heating/cooling mode to C for cooling, the temperature to what I wanted and the delta to 01 to 1…

  • Temperature Control

Impressive thermostat performance - looks good too - great price

I installed this byte thermostat in my solar project which I am building to control the cooling fan behind my solar controller. Knowing this control board would be in my shed where it could get hot, I knew I needed a fan to blow cooler air onto the Prostar 30, which is the heart of my system. I programmed my thermostat to turn the fan on at 78 degrees when the temperature rises and turn it off when the temperature drops below 78 degrees. This device looks well built and easy to program. Two…

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Without automatic control

This review is for the 12 volt version of Farenheit

I am using this unit as part of a 12 volt solar/battery powered system in our chicken coop to run a fan for cooling. been working for a few weeks now. So far, so good. I will update in a few months. Or sooner if it fails. Pros: Simple programming. after reading the Chinglish instructions very carefully. Can be programmed for both heating and cooling. You can program the setpoint to be X degrees off your target temperature. Sufficient cable length at the heat sensor; This allowed me to install…
