Best with soft air hoses
They produce lots of little bubbles. The only thing I don't like about them is that most of the time they don't sit flat on the ground because of the hard air tubes that fit inside. They work great with a soft air hose leading to them. I'm just not a fan of softer hoses because they tend to pinch where they need to bend. If you take a hard air tube and shape it with a heat gun, these stones work great.
