Review on πŸ“¦ Enhance Your Gear Storage with the Wolf Tooth Components B-RAD Mounting Base by Lawrence Reuter

great way to keep your mountain bike flexible

Great system. I have a Scott Genius with a single cage on the downtube and a seatpost which limits the size of the saddlebag (I don't want the saddlebag to be attached to the seatpost and risk damaging it). I also wanted something to use in enduro racing. It's an ingenious system. Really easy to install. I have found that on my bike the down tube is slightly curved at the bottom, preventing the base from sitting flat. This issue was solved by cutting the sticky pad in half and placing it under the top and bottom of the B-RAD mounting base. Because of this, the B-RAD is a little higher on the tube than intended, so the screw holes didn't line up with the holes in my tube, allowing me to attach it with just one screw (rather than two, which is a design but works with zip ties es There are a few considerations for Wolftooth: 1) Add a little more sticky pad. This can be used to improve the fit on bikes like mine. 2) It would be great if you could design it to screw through a channel instead of special holes. 3) The instructions were a bit weak. I almost gave up and sent it back (as my downtube is slightly bent) until I found my own solution.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Little things
