Review on 12V Adapter Cable for Garmin Devices by Jeremy Bradford

I bought this cable to replace an original Garmin cable (for Garmin nüvi 760) that is deteriorating (turning on and off). This cable does not work even though it fits the base of the GPS. I don't know if it's incorrectly plugged into the base or having trouble getting power from the outlet (I've tried both regular and cigarette lighter outlets in my 2008 Toyota Sienna van). Since I can't return the product (I threw away the packing list), I decided to use the original charging head with a new plug-in tip (sorry for the lack of correct terminology). However, after cutting both cables, I found that the cable I bought has 2 wires (black and red) while the original Garmin 9 has! Needless to say, I had to order the official Garmin kit for my GPS (luckily Amazon had it).
