I bought this to replace a problem cable for my old Garmin that stopped charging for me. Although this cable did charge the Garmin, I was a little disappointed because plugging in the cable and charging resulted in the screen dimming so much it was hard to see. There weren't any brightness settings to make it brighter. These cables are so easy to lose in a cluttered garage. Luckily this guy made it. Works great - had no problems with it at all and seems more durable than the original that came with GPS. Not sure what the fuss is about when everyone says it breaks easily. I've used mine a lot since I bought it and haven't had any problems with it so far.
