2007 Infiniti G35x intermittent fan problem fixed

Fan motor relay failure. This part is what you need to fix the situation. Replacing the relay takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes: 1. Remove the driver's side fuse access panel next to the parking brake. This means that only the fuse box is visible.2. Then remove the entire side panel to gain full access to the fuse panel. A small trim removal tool or scrap will help. You may need to apply the parking brake to remove the panel. A flashlight also helps to see how the trim pieces connect.3. Once you have free access to the fuse panel you will need to unclip the fuse panel (2 clips with a small screwdriver). The relays are located on the back of the fuse box. You will therefore not see them until the safety panel is pushed aside.4. Relay four, the fan relay is the lowest. It just pulls out and replaces it with a new block. (Tip: Mark the new block in case the two relays are swapped before swapping).5. Reverse the process to close everything and your fan will be fine again for at least a few years.
