Review on Mitutoyo 188 151 Screw Pitch Gage by Patrick Burton

I have several thread gauges - some metric, some SAE, some Starrett, some unbranded. This one Mitutoyo gauge has a wide range of blades (which probably fit every size I've come across) and is well made. Best of all, it includes both metrics and SAE, so when I get my hands on this one tool, I always know I have exactly what I need. The one I received is made in Japan where the quality and attention to detail is second to none. After all, I've been a long-time Starrett customer for over 45 years, but have been let down too often by poor quality and workmanship in recent years. For now, Starrett is living off a dwindling brand name — very sad.
