Xiaomi's stock kickstand is in a stupid place compared to that of the Segway Ninebot Scooter. Xiaomi falls very easily, especially if you put a hook on the handlebar and pick up a bag of any weight. It also falls down when folded due to the handlebars snapping and stressing the footrest. So I added a second footboard to the rear right. There are already 2 screws on the back holding the plastic pad, so I removed one screw, replaced it with a larger screw and drilled a hole for another stand screw. Now my Xiaomi stands and does not tip over. This particular stand was inexpensive yet durable, so it's a good choice for the job. The only downside is that it doesn't come with screws so you have to buy them yourself. Make sure they are thicker and longer than the standard screw holding the plastic pad, but not so long that the screw goes through the deck to your foot. That would suck.
