Review on πŸ’» USB 3.0 to VGA Adapter with DisplayLink Chipset - CableCreation VGA to USB External Video Card, 1080P Support, Windows/Mac Compatible by Mike Roe

Glad I made the switch

I had a cheap Raycue brand adapter and then another brand from ABLEWE. Both worked like crap at best. Raycue kept flickering and blurring the screen due to strange update issues. Recently stopped working altogether. ABLEWE creates about 1000 driver notification instances in the taskbar after turning off the main computer screen. So after waking up I would have to either kill all those processes or just restart them. If it really worked, there was always a big deficit. Videos larger than 360p could not be processed. Although these CableCreation adapters are much more expensive, they are worth the money. You are paying for a quality chipset and drivers. They just work with no weird problems. No noticeable lag when running 3 external 1080p monitors on 10th gen i5. I also have a 42 inch TV connected directly to my laptop via HDMI as a 4th external monitor. Still no lag. Good product!

Pros
  • Compatible and incompatible system
Cons
  • Big and bulky
