Review on ❄️ Polar Tech ReFreezR Brix Refrigerant Extender by James Duffield

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well! And a much easier and more portable alternative to dry ice for hours.

I was flying from Jersey to Florida and used 5 of these in 2 insulated bags in a checked suitcase to store homemade ice cream I made to surprise someone frozen. When I arrived we had 7 hours absence before our 3pm check-in. It was around 3pm when it was time to open it and one of the places we went to let me put a bag in their freezer for an hour. I was afraid to open the bag when it was finally time to reveal the surprise. It was a win! The ice was still frozen! I think the double insulation in the suitcase certainly helped. Since it's foam I didn't have to worry about tons of water melting either, but of course there is some condensation, but much less than ice. and what was broken. You're right! The plastic is thin! Having learned from her review, when using I always store them in a closed zip so there is always a layer on top of the plastic to protect it from tearing. Will add a ton to her life! I never had to buy them. I even freeze them back in Ziplock. They mostly live in their ziplock bags and I open them up from time to time to clean them out when needed. Also, after the ice cream mission, I used them wonderfully to keep my lunches like salads cool on a summer's day and to keep groceries cool when I'm not going straight home. Definitely happy I bought them.
