Don't think, just buy it!

I flew from east coast to west coast for a total of 7 hours. Bought these and an insulated box of foam hoping my live lobsters would make it to their destination (yes, live! as requested). That's like :) I packed it 3 hours before the flight. I put an R-Brix on the bottom and covered it with a clean absorbent pad, I used my puppy training pad then lobsters with wet newspapers to prolong their life, also worked as a filler. I was flying from Jersey to Florida and used 5 of these in 2 insulated bags in a checked suitcase to store homemade ice cream I made to surprise someone frozen. When I arrived we had 7 hours absence before our 3pm check-in. It was around 3pm when it was time to open it and one of the places we went to let me put a bag in their freezer for an hour. Works well when used as part of the shipping process

We have used these ice packs a few times now and they have worked well for us through multiple freeze thaw cycles. We always pay attention to where we put the freezer bags in the freezer and in the containers to avoid punctures. One hole and they're almost done. We know from experience that there is an optimal way to keep food cold or frozen. First, make sure the food container is insulated and well insulated.
