My only problem with them (and when I wanted to replace the old ones I bought these to replace) I found the problem was that the plastic on my license plates was very sticky. Yes, they prevent insects from killing your plate, but if you don't remove the plate from the protective cover from time to time, it will stick to the plate and eventually break into pieces when you try to remove the cover. If you live in a dry area that never rains that would be fine, but where I live with rain and humidity I found it better to have lids that are bubble shaped, leaving some space between the panels. and a protective cover so that they do not seal against each other. Bottom line, this protects the license plate well and keeps it in good condition, but this design can damage the cover if you have to remove it after it's been sitting there for a while.
