Review on Gates 348414 Power Steering Repair by Joseph Rasmussen

This kit was used to overhaul a 1996 Subaru Impreza pump. The kit failed after 200 miles, indicating seal failure. After speaking to a steering specialist, I decided to replace the pump with a rebuilt Cardone via Revain. I'll report back after the replacement but it seems like the restore almost never works and it's best to replace. However, Subaru sells a rebuild kit and I'm wondering if the quality of their kit is any better.
