, I was willing to pay Uhaul $300 to purchase and fit a brake controller because the thought of tracing and securing the correct wires etc under the dash was an absolute dismay to me at the moment. I really didn't want to spend that much money so I did a little more homework and found a YouTube video of them installing this Tekonsha controller pigtail in my exact same 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Google "erailer Tekonsha Brake Controller install 2004 tahoe" to find videos and similar for other GM products using this pigtail. I found this on Amazon right away and ordered it after watching the video. SO HAPPY I DID THIS. I used a cordless drill, 2 screws and 3 zip ties for the ENTIRE installation and it took less than 15 minutes. I saved over $200 and at least half a day of my pre-trip time by using this pigtail to plug into a factory under dash trailer brake control connector (which I didn't know existed). I cannot recommend this product enough or point out how easy it is. was to install. An absolutely great offer.
