Review on 🌳 Valterra 200 C20 Swing Spring Combo by Raffy Baer

I bought this "see through" check valve because I wanted to see how it would work to prevent water from my pool backing up into my filter . I needed two 2" valves and my pool guy had a check valve and was reluctant when I insisted he use that as a second valve. I thought what could go wrong? I just can't believe that the metal spring that is the valve's only closing mechanism rusted almost completely. Given that the pool worker had to cut and glue my PVC pipes I am very disappointed that they will likely need to be replaced before next pool season. I know they will have an "I told you so" expression when they see the streak of rust inside. I'm glad the PVC was transparent so I could see when it was completely out of order, but that's not why I wanted a transparent valve.
