Not suitable for 2016 F150 XLT.
Contrary to the description, this product does not fit in my truck; 2016 F150 XLT. The brackets are not flush with the sides of the liftgate and the shock absorber is too long (fully compressed) to close the liftgate. In other words, the damper is fully retracted before the tailgate is closed. Sent it back annoyed that the description is wrong and misleading buyers. Beware.
