This product was just what I needed to add hooks to my grilling accessories. I removed the grill wings (shelves) from my grill and carefully aligned them. - Connect the hook to the top of the shelf. My shelves were thin sheet metal so I placed some wood under the shelf to support it while I used a hammer and center punch to poke a hole in the hole (to keep the bit from wandering). I attached one end of the hook with stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers and adjusted it so it was parallel to the top of the shelf before tightening the nut. I then made an indentation with a center punch through the hole in the unfinished end of the hook assembly and attached the bolt washers and nut to it. The final step was to reassemble both shelves with the grate. If like me you have sheet metal shelves, you might want to consider using shims as they help distribute the load from the load sitting on your shelf.
