I love these tools. They're a little longer than standard open-end wrenches, which gives you extra leverage, which is great. I also see where the extra length might be an issue, but haven't come across it yet. The ratchet side is very smooth. Fiction. Love it. The very short arc makes handling easier. I don't have another set of ratchet wrenches to compare, but the ratchet end doesn't feel thick or bulky so it shouldn't get in the way too often. It is naturally thicker than a standard ring spanner. So if the nut/bolt is very close to an obstruction, you will not be able to ratchet around the nut due to the obstruction. When replacing the fan clutch I had to use the open side a bit to get the screw head far enough to the end of the box under the fan clutch and over the screw head. It's not critical, you just have to know you're getting in. Do not loosen the screw too much or the tool will get stuck. They seem very durable. The workmanship of the instruments is fantastic and easy to clean. Time to save up for another set.
