Pros: Initially this product was great. In mid-2015, Comcast increased the speed for my service from 100 Mbps to 150 Mbps. When this happened and I rebooted, I ran various speed tests at different times and got around 170 Mbps, so I was happy to get some extra speed. Cons: I had this cable modem for about 1 year and 5 months before I started having problems. In early July 2016, the modem overheated and I lost my internet connection. I've tried unplugging the modem and plugging it back in 10 seconds later to no avail. I waited and tried again, placing it on a floor fan to let in cool, conditioned air. When I did that it worked, I was back online and have left it there ever since. However, it's now the end of July 2016 and he ratted me out in the middle of the day when I'm working from home! Needless to say I was very unhappy that it let me down when I needed it most. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in to no avail. I ended up having to buy a new cable modem and buy a Netgear CM600 based on suggestions from another review I saw. Given that I paid a lot of money for this modem, I expected it to last about 5 years, give or take. Instead, it takes 1 year and 5 months. Do not buy!
