Review on KNIPEX Tools 86 03 125, 5-Inch Compact Pliers Wrench by Josh Lewis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No tricks. Improved Crescent Key

Consider it a replacement for the Crescent Key, only with a much better design. The ratchet adjustment system, along with the ability to squeeze the handles like pliers, ensures the bolt or fitting is held firmly and securely without slipping. No play when turning. Much more reliable than any standard adjustable wrench I've used. I can't find an easy way to adjust the opening with one hand, but it's a small price to pay for such a secure hold. and put it back on the nut like a regular adjustable wrench. You simply release pressure on the handle and rotate back. The jaws glide smoothly over the nut without rounding it off and you're ready for the next turn. Saves time. The 7 inch version is 90% suitable for household and automotive work. Length with jaws fully closed is 7 1/4 inches, with jaws fully open 8 1/8 inches. Maximum jaw opening is 1 3/8 inches. $0.44 on a hand tool, that's what I spend on beer and cigarettes in a week, and a wrench lasts forever and won't kill you.
