I have two 3D printers and as a result I can burn through a lot of filament while working on a large project. Unfortunately, most filament comes from bad prints, so it's important that 1) I have enough filament to work with and 2) I can use the filament for a variety of purposes. In 3D printing, the default color is black. I mainly print landscapes and miniatures and occasionally trophies for our Boy Scout troop. This means I still colorize everything I print. It is all the more important that the print simply works. I cannot adequately express how much damage garbage filament can do to printers and how frustrating it is when one of my printers fails until I take the time to clean it. This thread just works, and that's the way it should be. be. It deserves an extra star because it has multiple holes for excess filament, resulting in less waste after printing.
