I bought two for the front and rear doors. It works great if you get the device as close to the door frame as possible. For my door next to the tile floor, I set the device very close to the door. I had to constantly adjust the length of the unit and try to open the door, and I eventually got the unit to the point where the door doesn't open at all when tested. Adjusted the door next to the carpet to be slightly longer than the front door latch. The closer you bring the bar to each door, the more difficult it becomes to open the door from the outside.
