I was skeptical that this strainer would block oil when frying, but it worked! There were no oil splatters on my glass oven, which made cleaning even easier. I love how it doubles as a stand for cookies and other baked goods that need refrigeration! I also used it on a pot of pasta salad to drain boiling water and not lose small veggies in the mix. The potholders are soft on the inside, no cheap stuff that catches your nails or rings when you put them on your hands. I am very happy with this set!
