Hasps are rather generic. This one has an extra hinge. Even with that - for my application I needed to bend it. I found no issues with the actual hasp. But, It comes with 8 very small wood screws - that may be ok if you're just using it to hold a door or lid closed. Apparently, that was the purpose of some reviewers as you can see from their review pictures that they left some of the mounting screws exposed. I was more concerned with security and drilled out the holes in the lock ring to 1/4" and used nuts and bolts to mount the ring; and 1.25" long wood screws to mount the remainder of the hasp on a raised block. I also needed to grind smooth the far edge of the lock ring to ensure the hasp closed without catching as there are notches on each side of the protruding edge of the lock ring, which might catch if you're at the outer reach of the 4-1/2" hasp's reach.The ease of installation really depends on your application - it worked for me with modifications. And the price was ok.
