I have never heard of this product and was fortunate to come across it while reading reviews of other similar products. This has to be the best trolling motor quick coupler on the market. The design is solid and well thought out. And it costs less than a high quality "regular style" plug and socket. I just installed it with a new Minn Kota Terrova engine and expect it to last for many years. So why only 4 stars? This item comes without installation instructions. For example, the installation cutout is oddly shaped and requires some marking, drilling two 1-inch holes, and trimming the material between the holes. It wasn't a problem for me, but I can see that it causes a lot of problems for some people. A simple paper cut template (and a few words of instructions) would have made the installation a lot easier. This product has 5 stars throughout, but got one star for the lack of instructions.
