I put this piece of gold on the end of the lube hose and used a lighter grade 1 lube. Absolutely not a single drop of lubricant comes out of this N Lube lock. I took it off, bled the gun a few times to make sure the grease gun wasn't clogged and everything was fine. Then I thought maybe it would need to be connected to the Zerk to work. So I took a brand new Zerk out of the box, didn't connect it to anything, hooked it to the N Lube lock and not a drop of lube came out. AGAIN I tested the gun without it and it works fine. I only used a few drops of lube. Forty dollars. FORTY DOLLARS. $40 for a grease nipple and what do I get. It's definitely not a lube. I downloaded as best I could and nothing. Did I mention a small butter dish is $40? I wouldn't mind if it does what it's supposed to, but I can't get the lube out even with the tube hanging in the air. So can I send it back? May be? HOWEVER I now have to waste more time waiting to send this back and then she has to send me a new one or refund my money and go back as I did everything. Remember it wasn't even a fat, it was class 1 not class 2 as most auto parts stores sell. If all you want is a "nice little thing" on the end of your grease gun, then this option is for you. If you want to get lube in the gimbal, thrust bearing or joints, or heck if you just want to pour the lube in the reservoir, don't do this, I repeat, DO NOT buy this. You can get a similar item cheaper at Auto Zone. I haven't tried it yet, but this is my next step. I'm just as crazy about wasted time as I am about money. Just for the record, I just took it out of the box and screwed it on. never worked Lock N Lube if you're listening. Their quality control is terrible or non-existent in my experience. By the way, this little butter dish cost $40. I shake my head at myself. what was i thinking Well before anyone says "they filled it" it was NO problem, the grease gun squeezed the grease out of the hose very well UNTIL I put a Lock N Lube fitting on it. I was able to open the handle but as the pressure increased I couldn't squeeze it to pump the lube because the nozzle was clogged or not drilled or something. UPDATE a few days after the replacement: I really needed this to work so I didn't have to remove the control arms from my jeep to lubricate them. So - the first went back for exchange, and the second received a few days later. I tried it out the following weekend and leave a one star review. Although this one, unlike the first lubricant, passed through itself. It also leaked. I'll admit the connections are tight because they're new, but they were still leaking and the gauge clearly says they won't leak again once connected. To test the theory I actually replaced the oilers with new ones and yes both the old and new leaked. I estimate that 30-40% of the grease actually got into the joint and 60-70% came out at the end of the nozzle leaving "globs of grease" around the mirror. What should I do? Probably leave it and just be dissatisfied with it. I will only lose 60-70% of the fat from my oiler. Lube is not that expensive. I just wanted to be honest and give an update. Either I have two bad grease nipples OR this really isn't what is advertised.
