Review on πŸ–₯️ High-Quality 3.5 Inch Raspberry Pi 4 Touch Screen with HDMI, TFT LCD Mini Display and Stylus Pen for Pi 4 B, 3 B+ by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good HDMI monitor for Raspberry Pi

Works out of the box for HDMI video, although you can optimize the image by setting the resolution closer to 480x320. It seems to handle many different resolutions without problems. But for the touchscreen, you need to add some software. I found that I didn't have to replace the core like in their software. Instead I used the Waveshare version (google "Waveshare 3.5inch HDMI LCD wiki") and their LCD-show-180817.tar.gz. It seems to suit me. I liked that it only blocks the required pins and not the entire GPIO bus. This simplifies access to the remaining GPIO pins. For audio, you'll need to plug in an external, self-powered speaker as usual, which includes a port on your graphics card, so there's no need to fiddle with audio. the settings. The package even includes heatsinks to add to your Pi. (Because the screen blocks normal heat transfer a bit, heat sinks help solve this problem.)
