Review on GeeekPi Raspberry Low Profile Cooling Heatsink Computer Components by Malik Munns

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very cool (pun intended)

Great for cooling Raspberry Pi 4. I chose this over the higher version mainly because I liked the potential for more heat pipe contact with two separate 5mm heat pipes liked. through the CPU block versus a single pipe in the high version (https://www.amazon.com/GeeekPi-Raspberry-Cooling-Cooler-Heatsink/dp/B07V35SXMC). Installation: I took a Dremel with a polishing attachment and polished the area of the heatsink that contacts the processor on the rPi and polished the top of the rPi processor (probably didn't have to, but I've already pulled that). dremel off). the heatsink is slightly lowered on the processor. I just used the mounting plate and hardware that came with the heatsink. I didn't use the thermal pads that came with it, I used the silicone thermal paste I had on hand (it was Phanteks PH-NDC). Conditions : Ambient temperature around 21ºC, Powered by the official rPi USB-C power supply. Temperatures: Working Stock Settings, at 100% CPU usage the temperature stayed below 34°C for 15 minutes when I ran it. voltage (0.15V) of the processor and worked at 100% load for 20 minutes, the temperature never exceeded 44°C. Compared to the standard ratings of 80°C+ without heatsink, and people are satisfied with 60°C+ with fan , I think these temperatures are great! Cons: If I could change one thing I would probably replace the fan, the color changing is terrible and the brightness borders on annoying, mine will probably be replaced with a less bright fan at some point in the near future.
