Let me start by saying that at this price point ($45 after tax) these shoes are perfect for budget skiing. I've been using them for about two months with moderate overriding and they show little to no wear on the suede. They will definitely wear out and become brittle, but overall the material is still holding up. It's worth noting that these aren't the most comfortable shoes I've ridden in, as they're relatively flimsy by any measure. Also, the lip around the port of the shoe will dig into your ankles a bit after excessive wear, creating an uncomfortable feeling. If you're a fan of soft pads, I recommend either looking elsewhere or ordering a larger size and adding yourself. If you are skating on a budget these shoes are a great buy and worth every penny for the low cost.
