Review on 🧢 HiyaHiya Flyers US 1.5/2.5mm: Flexible Double-Pointed Knitting Needles by Hannah Curi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice upgrade from double

I bought these needles while working on a pair of Fair Isle gloves with a rather intricate pattern. The double spokes gave me big problems with my floats between the spokes, so I decided to try these fancy new "flex" spokes. You have revolutionized my knitting! After a brief initial setup period, my mittens began to separate from the spokes, no more ladders and no more duplicate points to fiddle with. I first tried Addi needles, but I'm not a real Addi fan and have found that I only like the side with the "sharper" needle tip. That's why I bought HiyaHiya; They have a reputation for sharp tips and they didn't disappoint. The only minor issue I had (it was entirely my knitting style) was that when I knit I tend to pinch the tips of the needles with my fingers and these puppies are sharp. After a while I had to force myself to stop pressing the needle tips because my fingers hurt. But I like sharp points; For me they just make knitting easier, especially when working with finer yarns or complicated stitches. Some people find it difficult to get used to these types of knitting needles. Fair enough, but if you're not a fan of double goggles, they're definitely worth trying.
