Review on Medium Triple-Bearing Heavy-Center by Brandon Plowden

I was really surprised by the accuracy. Usually the Chinese stuff I get is absolute rubbish but at only $25 for the MT3 version I decided to give it a try. My old American lathe worked fine on a large lathe, but is too big for my imported lathe. I'm almost ready to turn a cone on an imported lathe and without a tailstock the cone is usually 10-15 (0.010-0.015) thousandths, but with this driven tip I've reduced it to 8 tenths (0.0008) what easy to explain is misaligned guides or insufficient rigidity of imported lathes. I put a tenth indicator in the center and showed one and a half tenths (0.00015) which is half the clock advertised and good enough for anything you will ever do on a small import lathe. Overall I was really surprised and happy with this center.
