I have one of these but BLE doesn't work anymore - true, it was lying around in a laptop bag for months but unfortunately something seems to have gone wrong with UBLOX. I can still download and use it, I/O still works, just without BLE. So I ordered here as a replacement, got it, soldered the pins in and plugged into my USB and the green light comes on and the yellow one blinks - like it had a blinking sketch loaded. It's okay, but I can't download it. In fact, Win10 Device Manager doesn't even see it. I pressed the RESET button twice and now my LED is pulsing at about the same frequency. I see bootloader mode. However, Win10 does NOT recognize it in Device Manager. Did I fry it while soldering? All joints checked, everything ok. Sent it back to DOA and got a replacement. Got a replacement. I haven't tried soldering yet. Got it straight out of the box. EXACTLY THE SAME BEHAVIOR. Did I really get two bad ones in a row? It appears to contain a BLINK sketch. How was it loaded? Double-clicking also puts it into bootloader/impulse mode. Power reset returns to flashing mode. There is no way I can boot from it OR the device manager sees it. My original nano 33 IOT is still running, loading and outputting data to the serial monitor. What gives? *** UPDATE 01/14/2021: Sent back this second device and ordered Nano 33 BLE Sense - people seem to be having really good experiences with it. I need to dig a little deeper into this, but at first glance it seems 100% compatible with the hardware I already have with 33 IOTs (pinout/3.3V) and the libraries I already use (ArduinoBLE ) . With my sketch and gear, this could very well be the downfall of the trade. The same UBLOX BLE module. Simply faster with more memory and sensors. And of course more expensive. *** UPDATE Jan 15, 2021: Got Nano 33 BLE Sense and it has the SAME PROBLEM! Summary: My current Nano 33 IOT works, but neither of the TWO new ones work, NOR this one. I can walk back and forth all day, the old one works, the new one doesn't. ALL the new ones turn on and seem to show a flashing sketch setup and also go into bootloader mode by double clicking the reset button, but NONE of them show up in the WIN10 device manager - I have the board open the new bent and It came to life in the Win10 device manager. Relaxed the curve and he stopped speaking. Installed a BRAND NEW CABLE and NOW it works stably. To recap, a DIFFERENT cable will ALWAYS work fine with an older/existing 33 IOT. So there is a problem with the plug/connection. I never changed the cable because it works stably and stably with the original board. Remember guys. It drove me fucking insane.
