At first I found the tray better than leaving the sunroof open when it rained. I went back to my car and both front seats were wet, there were puddles of water on the floor and the cup holders with this ashtray were full of water. The ashtray itself was full of water. But the lighter worked fine (wow), after that I let the whole thing dry and put it back in and there were problems. I have to say I know most things need drying sometimes but for the question board (laughs) I really like this product now.
