The top burned up Interior

. The top burned through in a short time. We've bought other brands that don't burn. The ashtray must be made of fireproof material.

Interior accessory cover problem

I have ordered two of these for each car. The lids are too loose and you have to be careful, otherwise you get nasty cigarette butts and ashes.

Seriously, if you want to make something that can hold a burning object, you have to make it so that it won't melt when you stick a lit cigarette in it! could put zero stars i would.

Identical to those sold at Dollar Tree for a dollar

Cheap, thin, very light lid won't hold, the hole in the lid is way too big. I've seen the same quality in dollar stores so they're overpriced.

I do not recommend: Ashtray

I do not recommend. It's too difficult to open and close the lid, and it's very distracting when you're driving. And since it's a little hard to remove, you can overdo it and you'll end up with a face full of ash.

The adhesive used to attach the label could not be removed.

The sticker CANNOT be removed leaving the ashtray very sticky on the outside. I've tried sanding, soaking in hot water, etc. Any glue used to attach the label was overdone.

It also smelled awful. Also

They do not extinguish cigarettes as the name suggests. In fact, it's just a cup with a lid with a hole in it. I was driving and dropped my cigarette butt inside. After 2 minutes it was still smoking and the bottom of the container was VERY hot. It also smelled awful. In addition, the label could not be removed. There are better portable car ashtrays that actually extinguish the cigarette completely by restricting the flow of oxygen so it keeps smoking.

Very thin lids on ashtrays

As many other reviewers have said, the lid is very flimsy and won't screw down. Other than that, it's a cheap ashtray on Amazon so they absolutely do the job. I wouldn't recommend them for a car or anywhere you're worried about the cover coming off, but they'll work fine for my purpose. I was looking for cheap cup shaped ashtrays for my golf cart and for my pool and they were absolutely perfect. I bought a more expensive version with higher ratings for my car but for a cheap ashtray they are…
