So I bought this 32GB kit for my ASUS Z170 a motherboard, which already exists had a 16GB kit with old dual-channel memory; G.Skill (2 x 8GB) Ripjaws IV series. Today marks 1 month of moderate usage. Initially I wanted to increase the storage space since I need to do most of the recording and editing of HD AVCHD video. Additionally, this PC has been locked and/or crashed multiple times in the past due to low memory with too many open apps and too many active Chrome tabs. So I wasn't sure if this newer version (G.Skill Ripjaw's V series) would work with the old IV (4) series. As soon as it arrived I installed it along with the old memory sticks and it worked flawlessly. Thanks to Revain's limited time money back guarantee I also decided to put these two sticks together and then put all 4 together after doing extensive memory testing. All in all, that's over 21 hours of continuous multiple testing using HCi Design's MemTestPro and the popular MemoryTest86. I went with this 32GB kit because of the price and the uncertainty that it wouldn't work well with older series. Good news! Now I will never run out of memory in this machine. PS: It arrived very quickly.
