Might be better suited for kitchen and bathroom needs

Although I think this product gets a somewhat unfair bad rap from reviewers for not using it for its intended purpose (it is NOT intended). installed in private bathrooms) the product definitely needs improvement. While this faucet definitely lives up to Delta's usual high design standards, the fact that it only comes with a 5-year warranty is a bit suspicious considering many of their plumbing fixtures come with a lifetime warranty instead. Given that it's a hands-free device, that makes the product even more suspect as it should be subject to less manual wear and tear. Due to the wiring required, this faucet is a little more difficult to install than a traditional faucet. Installation is not that difficult, and anyone with a background in plumbing can handle it. What probably annoys me the most about this product isn't so much what it contains as what it DOESN'T contain. As many other reviewers have pointed out, it doesn't have a mixing valve. So your only pre-made options are either cold or maybe piping hot. It's unlikely that Delta will cost a fortune to turn on the mixing valve. It really should be a must. The pad is also not included, which sucks for a sink with a traditional 3-hole plumbing. Perhaps most importantly, it lacks the ability to connect the faucet directly to AC power rather than using batteries. Although batteries should not be replaced often, replacement is a major problem in most situations, especially when multiple sinks are involved. That's a lot less than hassle-free maintenance. For this reason, a hardwire option must be built into the system. While the system works fine once installed, maintenance and the lack of a lifetime warranty are definitely an issue at this price point.
