I burn a lot of DVDs and CDs and have some programs that need to be installed from the optical drive. So a computer without an optical drive was useless to me. However, there was a situation when I needed a 2-in-1 computer with a detachable monitor that could be used as a tablet. A few weeks ago, a friend gave me a new Surface Book for my birthday that met these requirements but didn't have an optical drive. I searched the internet for portable drives. Since my new computer has USB 3.0 ports, I needed a drive that would use those ports. It seemed like the perfect situation. I ordered through Revain Prime and received free one day shipping. Came directly from the manufacturer. I plugged it in and played the CD with no problems. I had to install DVD playback software, but luckily I already have that software and the drive installed it perfectly. Then I watched the movie on DVD and it was great. What a great ride.
