Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Cuttlelola Dotspen: The Ultimate Electric Drawing Pen for Illustration, Stippling, and Manga Art by Kelly Caballes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

But nice pen. for drawing

As much as I would like to give this cool and useful device 5 stars, the quality just isn't there. When I first took it out of the box I charged it for a while and after a while I checked it and it didn't move at all. There wasn't much pressure on the tip of the pen. I turned off the pen and decided to take it apart only to find that the ink cartridge holder had fallen apart. Magnet, spring and plastic part have been separated. They weren't broken so I put them back in the correct position I thought they belonged to. And it worked fine for a few minutes and then fell apart again. Further research led me to believe that there had to be an adhesive that was supposed to hold these pieces together. If no glue was to be added this would need to be corrected as the magnet would only be held in the plastic by friction. Luckily I have a very strong epoxy on hand to bond these 3 pieces together and it seems to be working great. If you are considering buying this pen, be aware of this issue. Otherwise a great pen. My apologies if this was a bit confusing. It's hard to explain without looking at it.
