I give this item 5 stars because it is a very well made piece. However, the description is misleading. The oil pan fits all transmissions listed and doubles the fluid capacity on all but the 48RE. This sump is the same depth and capacity as the 48RE factory sump commonly used on Cummins Dodge 2500/3500 diesel trucks. If you just want to add a drain plug and a hole for the temp gauge and do some help with heat dissipation, this pan will do it, but again, the liquid capacity is NOT increased by 48 RE.
